Self Love… Do you?
When was the last time you treated yourself to something you love? Be it a massage, a facial, a night away or time on your yoga mat to practice?
This morning my two private clients switched days and I had some time on my hands. So I wondered, what should I do? Should squeeze in some extra admin work? Or should I research yoga trends and what’s new around the world?
So I chose ME.
What SHOULD I do became what do I FEEL like doing?
Firstly I chose to prepare delicious juices and salads for the next couple of days. I love being organized. It helps me make healthy food decisions if I’ve planned ahead. I get to use all of my fresh ingredients and it ultimately saves me money from buying food and drinks on the go.
I also ALLOWED myself to practice yoga. Being a teacher, you’d think I practice a lot in my own time. I know I should practice more, and it is a goal of mine to do so, but I will often prioritise other items above my beloved yoga. I started Skye LifeStyle as I had such passion for my practice but recognise sometimes that I don’t utilise the one thing I know works best for me, simply getting on my mat!
I know how good my body and mind feel when I create that sacred time. It has always been my ‘go to’ place. My solution for everything. Stress. Do Yoga. Excessive Workload. Do Yoga. Fitness. Do Yoga. Insomnia. Do Yoga.
So why don’t I give myself the time to do it more?
Today proved two things for me.
Yoga should not be a chore. Neither should Self Love.
It’s a necessity.
