Classes offered by Skye Lifestyle include:
- Stretch and Relaxation
What is hatha yoga?
Hatha yoga uses gentle stretching, set postures and breathing techniques to release tension, align the body and enhance energy flow. Relaxation techniques help settle the nervous system, calm the mind and improve immune system function.
If you are new to yoga, you will experience new sensations in your body. You will also find muscles that you didn’t know you had. Newer students may find the flow of sun salutations can make them feel a little light headed at first. This is normal, and over time this passes. Others may find the yogic breathwork (through the nose) to be challenging at first. Everyone is different. By keeping your practice regular, at least once a week, you will naturally become more comfortable with all of the new nuances that yoga brings to your body.
A regular yoga practice is believed to have incredible benefits for the body including increased flexibility, overall massage of the internal organs, detoxification, muscle toning and a sounder sleep pattern.
Anyone can learn Hatha yoga and Skye and her team can tailor the class to suit every fitness level, from beginners through to experienced yoga practitioners.
A stretch and relaxation class consists of a very beginning level of yoga, with a greater focus on the breath and alignment of each pose. Classes can be as short as 30 minutes, or extended to a maximum of 90 minutes.
Classes are adapted to suit the needs of participants.
Our teachers provide techniques to enhance flexibility and fitness as well as provide stress management and focus.
Lower back issues are a common challenge amongst corporate workers and we can tailor our classes to include a core focus.
Classes include Absolute Beginner’s Workshop, Lunchtime Wellness and after work Energising Sessions.
A regular yoga practice produces a clear and energized mind, greater focus, and a strong flexible body.
We can tailor-make programs for your workplace, ranging from daily workshops to six one-hour sessions conducted each week as an Introduction to Meditation.
The sessions include the basics of meditation, as well as ways to integrate it into daily life.
Participants are taught a wide range of major meditation techniques, and learn how to implement these stress reducing practices in their daily work and life.
